No, I don't think that our souls existed before our bodies.
Yes, I do think A celestial body of energy DID exist.
As you know in Paranormal Investigation, there are Apparitions and Orbs.
Although, Apparitions and Orbs are often found together Orbs are much more abundant than Apparitions by Far!
Apparitions: The appearance of a ghostlike figure; normally, resembling a human figure.
Orbs: A sphere or transparent spherical objects thought by ancient and medieval astronomers to revolve about the earth and carry the celestial bodies.
Philosophically I believe that a celestial energy (Orbs) is what gives our human bodies life. We then live, learn and grow as an individuals and that same celestial energy (once a sphere shape) that resides in us; now takes on the shape of our human form or human spirit. Our Soul is the meshing of our human spirit and celestial energy.
I also believe our Souls do go back to a higher plane of existence of energy; the same plane that created the celestial energy only transformed to a different energy type or frequency so to speak.
Celestial energy(Orb) + Human Body(Human spirit) = Soul (the meshing of the two taking a human spirit form.
One reasoning is from a broad interpretation of Thermodynamics:
First Law of Thermodynamics states: Energy can be cannot be created or destroyed it only changes from one form to another. The total amount of energy and matter in the Universe remains constant, it merely changing from one form to another.
Second Law of Thermodynamics states: Mechanical work can be derived from a body only when that body interacts with another at a lower temperature; any spontaneous process results in an increase of entropy or Inevitable and steady deterioration.
2) First Law of Thermodynamics states: Energy can be cannot be created or destroyed it only changes from one form to another. I believe that a when we die our soul (cognitive energy) transforms to a different plain of existence where we are not bound by physical form we travel photonicly. I believe a basic celestial energy is what gives our human bodies life at birth. Our Soul is the meshing of our human spirit and celestial energy.

When the traveler returns to Earth, he is younger than the twin who stayed put.
Time dilation would make it possible for a fast moving clock to travel into the future, while aging very little. That is, the clock (and according to relativity, any human traveling with it) shows less elapsed time than stationary clocks. For sufficiently high speed the effect could be dramatic. For example one year of travel might correspond to ten years at home. Indeed, a constant 1g acceleration would permit humans to circumnavigate the known universe (with a radius of some 15 billion light years) in one human lifetime. The space-travelers could return to earth billions of years in the future
In my opinion, ghost or Apparitions are merely time/energy signatures (like the 5 seconds of picture left on an old TV screen when it is turned off ) left behind from the energy transformation to a different energy type or frequency due to Time dilation of slower mortal Time and the faster Time in which the transformed energy resides.
